What is my ring size?
How to know your ring size to be able to buy online and avoid having to return it? It is one of the questions that we all ask ourselves before making an online purchase. Here we show you two very easy ways:
1. Know my ring size by measuring the finger
Before starting you should know that the size of the fingers varies depending on the time of day and the weather. The fingers dilate in the heat and contract in the cold. It is recommended that you measure your fingers at the end of the day, as this is the time when they are the largest and most swollen.
Always measure your finger a few times to avoid mistakes.
The ring should be comfortable on you; It should be snug enough not to fall off, but loose enough that it can slide over your knuckle.
Now measure the circumference of the finger where you are going to put the ring with a seam meter. If you do not have a sewing meter, you can cut a strip of paper of about 2 cm. wide, surround the finger with the strip and make a mark. Then you measure that stretch of paper with a ruler or meter.
Once we know the measurement of the finger in centimeters (cm) you go to the equivalence table to find out your ring size.
In the example above we can see that the circumference of the finger is 7 cm, which would correspond to a size 30.
2. Know my ring size by measuring the inside diameter of a ring
Another way is by measuring the inside diameter of a ring that fits you well.
You put the ring on a ruler or measuring it with a meter and you will know the millimeters of the INSIDE diameter.
In this example we can see that the inner circumference measures 18 mm. which would correspond to a size 17, according to the equivalence table.
Easier still is to go to a jeweler, bring him a ring and have him check the size of the ring with a measuring stick, and if you don't have the ring they have a finger sizer.
Easy and simple right? Well now you can buy or give away a ring without fear of making a mistake.
